Jibril lifted his sight to the sky and said, "This is a door in heaven being opened, and it has never been opened before now." An angel descended from that door and came to the Prophet and said, "Receive the glad tidings of two lights that you have been given, which no other Prophet before you was given: the Opening of the Book and the last (three) Ayat of Surat Al-Baqarah. You will not read a letter of them, but will gain its benefit." This is the wording collected by An-Nasa'i (Al-Kubra 5:12) and Muslim recorded similar wording (1:554).
2. in rukoo He used to forbid recitation of the Qur'aan in rukoo' and sujood. Furthermore, he used to say, "Verily, I have indeed been forbidden from reciting the Quran in rukoo' or sujood. In the rukoo', therefore, glorify the Supremity of the Lord, Mighty and Sublime, in it; as for the sujood, exert yourselves in supplication in it, for it is most likely that you will be answered." And he (saws) also said, "I have been prohibited from reciting (Quran) while bowing (ruku in prayer) or prostrating (sujood in prayer). During the bowing (ruku), Glorify the Lord. During the prostrations, strive your hardest in making supplications. Most likely, you will be listened to." Related by Ahmad and Muslim.

Related by Ahmad and Muslim. He (SAW) used to forbid recitation of the Quran in rukoo' and sujood, and commanded striving in, and a lot of, supplication in this posture, as explained previously under "Rukoo'". He also used to say, "The slave is closest to his Lord when he is prostrating, so increase supplication [in it]."[127] [Muslim, Abu 'Awaanah, Baihaqi]

Peace [203] be on you, O Prophet, and Allah's Mercy and His blessings [204]. Peace be on us, and on the righteous slaves of Allaah. [For when one says that, it includes every righteous slave in the heaven and the earth.] I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except Allaah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and messenger.
7. blessings upon the Prophet Hazrat Abu Muhammad Ka'b b. 'Ujrah (R.A.A.) says: (Once) the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.) visited us, then we submitted: "O Messenger of Allah, we have now understood as to how to invoke peace upon you, now please let us know how shall we invoke Allah's blessings upon you?" He (S.A.W.) answered, "Say these words: O Allaah, send prayers upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You sent prayers upon Ibraaheem and upon the family of Ibraaheem; You are indeed Worthy of Praise, Full of Majesty. O Allaah, send blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad as You sent blessings upon Ibraaheem and upon the family of Ibraaheem; You are indeed Worthy of Praise, Full of Majesty." [Muslim] Imam Muslim in another version from Hazrat Tariq (R.A.A.) says: A man came to the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.) and submitted. O Messenger of Allah! what should I say when I supplicate to Allah? He (S.A.W.) answered: Alla-hum-magh firli war ham-ni wah dini wa 'aafi-ni wer zuqni 'O Allah! forgive me and have mercy on me, and guide me and let me be in peace and security, and provide for my livelihood. These sentences will help you gather all the blessings of this world and the hereafter.
10. never forget to say Hazrat Mu'az (R.A.A.) relates that one day the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.) caught hold of his hand and said. "Mu'az, by Allah I love you, and emphatically advise you, Mu'az, that you should never forget to recite after every salat (prayer): 'Alla-hum-ma a'inni 'ala zik-rika wa shuk-rika wa hus-ne 'iba-datika'" O Allah, assist me in remembering Thee and being grateful to Thee and performing Thy worship in an excellent manner. Alla-hum-ma aa-tina fid dun-ya hasa-natan wa fil aakhi-rati hasa-natan wa qina 'azab-an-nar. Imam Muslim has added in his version: When Hazrat Anas b. [Tirmizi]
13. istikhara 21. The Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) used to teach us to ask Allah's guidance in all matters just like he used to teach us a surah out of the Quran. He would say: If one of you intends on doing a certain matter, let him pray two rak'aat, then let him say: ... (and [here] you name it [the affair] by its name -) ... One that asks the Creator's guidance in a matter, and consults with His creation, then acts deliberately would never regret his action. For Allah the Exalted says: "And consult them in the matter [of moment]. Then when you have taken a decision put your trust in Allah. For Allah loves those who put their trust [in Him]." [3:159] Qatadatu said: There is not a people that consult amongst themselves seeking Allah's Face except that they would be guided to the most straight and correct action for them. 15. hadith Qudsi - asking of me? On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (may the blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: Our Lord (glorified and exalted be He) (tabārak wa-ta-'ala) descends each night to the earth's sky when there remains the final third of the night, and He says: Who is saying a prayer to Me that I may answer it? Who is asking something of Me that I may give it him? Who is asking forgiveness of Me that I may forgive him? It was related by al-Bukhari (also by Muslim, Malik, at-Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud). It is reported of the Prophet (SAW) that he said: "Our Lord descends to the lowest heaven [of the seven] when the last third of the night remains, then He says: Who is calling upon Me such that I may answer him, who is asking Me such that I may grant him, who is requesting My forgiveness such that I may forgive him."
16. 2x + 1 Ibn Umar (R.A.A.) says that the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.) said: "Night prayer is offered in a series of two raka'as at a time, and when you anticipate the advent of dawn then make it odd with a single rakat." [Bukhari and Muslim]

Thereafter he (S.A.W.) would offer two raka'as before the Fajr prayer and then recline on his right side until the caller would come to call him for the prayer. [Bukhari]
18. Ibn Abbas tahajjud 18. Ibn 'Abbas (R.A.A) said: Once I spent the night at the place of Maymounah (his aunt). I layed down along the width of a pillow, and the Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) layed down with his wife along its length, and slept till midnight or nearly so, then he woke up rubbing the sleep off of his face, then he recited ten verses from [Surah] 'Ale 'Imran. Then the Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) got up towards a leather skin that was hanging, and performed ablution, and performed it well. Then he got up to pray, so I did as he did, then stood to his side, whereupon, he put his right hand on my head, and twisted my ear and then prayed two rak'ahs (1) followed by two rak'ahs, (2) followed by two rak'ahs, (3) followed by two rak'ahs, (4) followed by two rak'ahs, (5) and then he performed Witr. (1) He then layed down on his side until the Mu'ath-thin came to him, whereupon, he prayed two rak'as, and went to the morning prayer.
19. many worries 23. Mishkat: Said the Messenger of God: Let anyone whose cares are numerous say: ... No bondman (of God) ever sayeth thus, but God taketh away his grief and giveth him ease instead (Ibn Mas'ud - Razin). O God! Behold, I am Thy bondman, and the son of Thy bondman, and the son of Thy bondwoman. Within Thy grasp am I. My forelock is in Thine hand. Thy command is in force in me. Equitable is Thy decree (concerning me). I beg of Thee in every name which is Thine, and whereby Thou has named Thyself, or which Thou hast revealed in Thy scripture, or which Thou has taught unto any one of Thy creation, or which Thou hast preferred to keep among Thy guarded secrets, to make the Quran the spring of mine heart, and (a means of) dispelling mine anxiety and grief.
